OPCx (On-Premises Cloud) Senior Manager, Operating System Configuration Management is responsible for Operating System lifecycle management and configuration management of workloads running in the Software Defined Datacenters across J&J. This is a leader role with team members reporting to this role from across the globe. This individual will have the overall ownership of releasing new Linux and Windows operating systems, security configuration and hotfix and vulnerability management using automated configuration management tools Chef. Additionally, this individual will partner with platform teams such as database and SAP to automate and manage platform specific OS related configurations. This individual will own the development of automation capabilities using Chef. The individual will design, implement and support configuration management blueprints to support enterprise technology platforms. The individual will also be partner with multiple infrastructure tools owners such as ServiceNow, VMware’s vRealize, SCOM, SCCM, Netcool, etc. and drive efficiency in OS lifecycle management. Additionally, this individual will have the responsibility of working with OPCx teams to design technical POD architecture and manage OS related compatibilities at the physical and virtual layers. This individual will also be responsible for managing and releasing physical builds for Linux operating systems to support OPCx Net Backup Infrastructure.
