The Senior Manager, Professional Education is responsible for the implementation of professional education strategy for J&J ONE MD within their assigned region.  He/she will be responsible for the planning and execution of Professional Education programs through managing and developing a high performing team of 6-10 US Professional Education Managers. This individual must collaborate and align priorities with sales leadership, strategic accounts leadership, marketing, Sales Learning & Development and MD Professional Education leaders to develop detailed Professional Education plans for execution including budgets, facility, and faculty needs.   The Senior Manager, Professional Education must manage projects collaborating closely with sales, strategic accounts, marketing and Global Education Solutions partners. He/she must ensure compliance to all legal, regulatory and HCC policies to include; Advamed, Pharma, ACCME and other global legal and regulatory bodies. Additional responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:


  • Lead strategic and big picture thinking in developing and planning for expanded customer types and procedures, change leader skill set and ONE MD mindset
  • Translate business requirements into Professional Education strategy and plans
  • Analyze and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of Professional Education programs to make strategic decisions
  • Strong budget analytics and management skill
  • Acquire and translate customer insights to the broader organization as it relates to unmet needs and future educational offerings
  • Understand and apply market, industry, competitor, and health care compliance, legal, and regulatory knowledge
  • Understand the external marketplace including competitor offerings and strategy, changing stakeholders, and apply knowledge to shape Professional Education
  • Partner with sales, strategic accounts, marketing, faculty, vendors and Professional Education team to effectively develop Professional Education strategy
  • Develop strategic relationships with key KOL faculty and facilities  
  • Deep clinical and disease state knowledge to create effective and accurate learning solutions for Professional Education
  • Understand the applicability of competing products in targeted procedures
  • Lead the execution of Professional Education programs to ensure that programs operate efficiently, effectively and compliantly
  • Lead, monitor and make appropriate changes based on application of performance metrics
  • Lead Professional Education projects through application of Customer Insights and Strategic Planning to develop and implement new education offerings
  • Develop measureable project plans with clear objectives, milestones, resource requirements, and deliverables
  • Manages priorities to ensure maximum effectiveness
  • Understand and utilize existing and new technology to effectively reach multiple stakeholders to engage and reinforce key learning concepts throughout the Education Continuum; optimize the technology application for the most effective and efficient approach
  • Know and follow policies and procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibility
  • Complete training in area of responsibility within allowed time-period
  • Training is required for changes in existing policies and procedures, for new assignments and for implementation of new policies and procedures
  • Complete required periodic re-training in areas such as safety and environmental compliance
  • Follow all company safety policies and other safety precautions within work area
  • Promote safety to all associates that enter work area
  • Follow Health Care Compliance guidelines as well as follow operating room training and safety standards (Bloodborne pathogens training, etc.)


Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • An Advanced Degree is preferred
  • A minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales, Marketing and/or Professional Education is required
  • A minimum 2 years’ direct people management experience is required
  • Experience with strategy development and execution is required
  • The ability to deliver results by inspiring and mobilizing people and teams is required
  • The ability to drive innovation; anticipate and shape changes to advance Professional Education is required
  • The ability to demonstrate creative, practical problem solving skills is required
  • Project leadership, problem solving and solutions driven skills are required


This position will be Field Based and requires up to 50% travel. This position will support the Southeast Region.
