PURPOSE

  • Key resource in the development and commercialization of new product and packaging innovations for North America. The Category Commercial Senior Manager, Sparkling Products/Packages collaborates with the SSD Category Business Unit (CBU), PSS and the broader Franchise/Commercial Organization to lead the "Joint Leadership Model" to successfully execute cross-functional innovation initiatives utilizing the Common Innovation Framework (CIF) methodology and standard tools & processes.
  • Owns the coordination of content for all Category Operations material to support BPSC, CCLT, PLM Subcommittee, NRS and Bottler Feedback sessions, and other key system meetings as needed
  • Owns the collection and stewardship of tracking against current category initiatives
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Stages and Gates Initiative Leadership
  • Leading project portfolios and programs, across a designated product category(s)
  • Securing and managing cross-functional resources
  • Developing and executing the project plan and timeline
  • Stewarding projects through the CIF process and maintaining Clarity records
  • Facilitating the identification of project risks and establishing risk management plans
  • Providing verbal and/or written project updates, as needed
  • Executing project close-outs and post project reviews
Meeting content and initiative stewardship
  • Owns the coordination and "polish" of content for all Category Operations material to support BPSC, CCLT, PLM Subcommittee, NRS and Bottler Feedback sessions, and other key system meetings as needed
  • Owns the collection and stewardship of tracking against current category initiatives
  • Owns weekly updates and communication of project tracker


EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other graduate degree preferred
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required:
  • 5 or more years of experience, preferably in the consumer goods/beverages industry
  • Strong background in project and process management
  • Broad strategy development expertise across multiple packages, categories, channels and customers
  • Basic working knowledge of supply chain organization
Preferred Level:
  • 8 or more years of experience, preferably in the consumer goods/beverages industry
  • Brand or commercial Strategic planning experience
  • Brand or channel management experience
SPECIALIZED TECHNICAL SKILLS
Minimum Required:
  • Expert level PowerPoint skills
  • Expert level EXCEL skills
  • Analytics experience - ability to draw insights and make well founded recommendations from data
  • Proven track record for ability to Lead Cross-functional teams to Deliver Results
  • Collaborating with channel and brand teams and other key internal/external stakeholders; effective in influencing wide variety of stakeholders
  • Excellent Project / Program Management Skills (PMP Preferred)
  • Effective Communications Skills (Verbal and Written)
  • Expertise in Innovation, Supply Chain and/or Technical Function(s)
  • Knowledge of the Business (KO processes, roles, culture, & etc.)
Preferred Level:
  • Shopper insights, category management and shopper marketing experience
  • Working knowledge of PLM process
  • General Product supply knowledge
