The Senior Manager Sector/Function Project Lead will coordinate the delivery of sector/function tasks for ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization Program.  The Senior Manager Sector/Function Project Lead will be required to have an in depth understanding of ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization principles and processes to support sector/function day-to-day management of the Spend Optimization program and be the sector/function day-to-day operational point of contact to the ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization program. The Senior Manager Sector/Function Project Lead will play a central role educating sector/function employees and leadership on ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization principles, implementing processes, and enabling spending targets to be achieved. The Senior Manager Sector/Function Project Lead will directly support initiatives to enable adoption of ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization processes globally for the specified sector/function. This is a two year assignment.  The Senior Manager Sector/Function Project Lead will play the primary role in:
  • Possessing a detailed understanding of the ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization Program, and acting as the J&J in-house expert on ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization principles, processes, and policies
  • Program Managing (PMO) the ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization implementation including status tracking, issues and risk management, and work plan management.
  • Educating stakeholders on ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization principles, policies/guidelines and processes and educate new joiners to the core regional teams
  • Providing guidance and training on enabling capabilities of the ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization programs (e.g. BvA, Proxy reporting, etc.)
  • Facilitating dialogue and knowledge sharing across regional stakeholders
  • Coordinating with Accenture partners on ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization Program design
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Project manage ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization including progress status, issues, and developing corrective actions
  • Coordinate appropriate touchpoints with regional stakeholders as needed to drive progress and highlight issue/ risks
  • Be well-versed on ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization principles, policies/guidelines and processes and educate new joiners to the core regional teams
  • Maintain job aids, tools and reference material
  • Provide day-to-day support of ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization management
  • Coordinate and facilitate ad-hoc finance process and analysis requests by regional SMART stakeholders and the Global SMART CoE
  • Share best practices of Spend Optimization across regions
  • Oversight of action items to ensure ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization achievements
  • Support socialization and alignment of ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization principles with key business stakeholders
  • Support training to regional communities on use and development of ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization
  • Provide guidance to sector/ global functions on identified best practices and enhancements to Spend Optimization based upon global feedback
  • Manage relationships with regional stakeholders to support their ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization journey
  • Collaborate with external consulting partner to support ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization Spend program
  • Supports continuous improvement activities
  • Assists with training organization in ESP 2.0 Spend Optimization program and process
  • Participates in training to increase knowledge & skill
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required, with a focus of study in Finance/Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
  • CPA, CMA, or other financial certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in finance or accounting is required.
  • Knowledge of general finance/accounting processes is preferred.
  • Strong influencer, independent thinking and strong planning/prioritization are required.
  • Passion for people development and talent management is required.
  • Experienced professional with strong communication skills who is able to interact with senior management is required.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Up to 20% of travel both internationally and domestically is required.
