The Senior Manager of Workforce Planning and Analytics is part of a Global COE at the PepsiCo World Headquarters in Purchase, NY. This team manages relationships with all levels including senior business partners and Human Resources leaders. The Manager will be responsible for presenting statistical solutions in business terms to complex HR and business challenges.

Responsibilities of this role include:
  • Developing predictive models and advanced statistical analyses for key business problems to enable understanding of key drivers and action plans required
  • Driving robust analyses and glean insights from the monthly reporting and people plan processes -- and communicate these insights to senior leaders to drive action planning
  • Building an analytics culture by communicating the value of analytics to broader HR and executive communities and building a network of analytics tools and capability across the organization
  • Utilize large-scale datasets for system integration and statistical analysis using a variety of spreadsheet or database software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, SQL, Access, Excel)
  • Design creative approaches to predictive model development that will allow HR and its businesses to better understand the driving factors of critical HR and business issues (e.g. probability of success in new roles, identifying employees at risk of leaving etc.)
  • Perform advanced descriptive and inferential analyses of applicant flow, promotion/retention, and workforce development. Provide substantive interpretation of research results.
  • Perform the post-implementation model assessments and the regular model validation and enhancement activities
  • Effective communication/translation of modeling results, testing and comparison of the outcomes, and validation of the resulting treatments for senior executives
  • Determine and apply methods of multivariate statistical to understand business issues leading to action planning
  • Contribute to the development of content for PepsiCo's executive database, reporting systems, and any future workforce analytics system (via Successfactors)
  • Partner with HR analyst on interpretation of reporting/analysis, including reporting and analysis on modeling performance, scoring trends, performance metrics, etc.
  • Develop and validate workforce intelligence metrics (e.g., turnover percentages, promotion rates, and human performance and productivity measures)
  • Assist in utility and business impact analyses for talent pipeline/succession plans as well as other HR-sponsored programs
  • Manage relationships with external consultants on project specific work, as required


  • Advanced degree (M.S.; Ph.D. preferred) in an applied social science or quantitative discipline, such as I/O Psychology, Behavioral Economics, Mathematics, Workforce Demography, Applied Statistics, or Computer Science, with an emphasis on empirical research
  • Minimum of 6+ years of business experience in statistical modeling for the purpose of building business solutions
  • Strong experience building logistics and linear regression solutions, knowledge of alternative modeling methodologies
  • Strong experience managing data acquisition and data organization required for the purposes of building statistical models
  • Strong project management experience desired; leading statistical resources on projects highly preferred
  • Advance proficiency in statistical software package(s) e.g., SAS, SPSS, data query tools, SQL) as well as Microsoft Excel and Access
