Job Duties: Apply business acumen in understanding EMC's strategic direction and alignment of products in emerging technologies. Leverage EMC's strategic direction to guide the team to develop and execute readiness programs around New Product Introduction for EMC products and services. Maintain and continually enhance consultative technology knowledge of specific products such as software-defined-storage and hyper-converged IT infrastructure to be able to provide thought leadership to the respective business units. Hire talent, motivate, develop and retain the talent to accommodate EMC's business growth. Apply leadership skills to provide direction, mentoring, and coaching to ensure the organization remains relevant in markets and technologies. Provide an escalation path to the team in resource contention situations and will reprioritize the work as needed to meet competing business objectives. Create roadmaps to plan and align team resources to appropriate programs and goals. Provide capacity planning reports to leadership on a timely basis. Articulate measurable goals for the team and individual team members to achieve stated and approved business outcomes as set forth by executive leadership and ensure the goals are completed in time. Assess performance of the team through established HR processes and will provide relevant feedback to the team on pre-defined basis. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
Job Requirements: Master's degree in Business, Comp. Sci., Engin(any), Math, Physics, or related technical field plus 24 months experience in job offered or computer related occupation. Experience must include: 1) Storage Area Networks Technology (SAN) design and implementation 2) Network Area Storage (NAS) Design and Implementation 3) Large-Scale Data Center and Enterprise Server Design & Architecture 4) Writing Technical Best Practices 5) Technical Escalation Management 6) Enterprise IT Transformation and Cloud Infrastructure Design & Architecture. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
