The Senior Market Intelligence Leader will be leading a ~$1B consumer business strategic insights and category management. You will manage a team of experienced insights and category management professionals who provide our business and our customers in the Mass, Club, Dollar, Home Center, Hardware, Food and Drug segments with the data and analysis to make critical product, marketing, and merchandising decisions.
You will report directly to our North America Commercial leader for the consumer business.
As the Senior Market Intelligence Leader, you will:
+ Provide leadership and guidance to a team of insights and category management professionals who gather, organize, and interpret relevant industry, customer, or retailer data - Point of Sale, Product Shipments, Marketing metrics, sales and market share data, or other supporting data streams
+ Be the chief storyteller, build our trusted advisor relationships with customers by using insights and data to shape the market outlook and the consumer path to purchase
+ Translate research or analytics into actionable initiatives that can drive successful sales and marketing programs
+ Collaborate with Brand Managers, Sales and Sales Development managers, Product Management, Technology, Finance and other functions in support of business building initiatives
+ Development of sector or channel expertise, showing progression of responsibilities and ownership
+ Serve as a the "voice of the consumer" by leading custom qualitative and quantitative research, including brand image / equity, consumer segmentation, consumer target and need gap identification, brand health tracking analysis, macro trend identification, concept and product testing, copy testing, and others, as required by the business need
+ Develop talent and grow the team
+ Bachelor's Degree in business, statistics, social sciences or related field
+ Minimum of 10 years of business experience
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in a people leadership insights / research / data analysis / analytics role
+ Ability and willingness to travel within US up to 50% of the time
+ Master's degree in business administration, statistics, or related field
+ Functional expertise in consumer insights, market insights, shopper insights, market research, category management, retail strategy
+ Proven ability to translate consumer and market data into strategic recommendations
+ Cross-functional knowledge base (finance, product management, marketing, pricing, sales)
+ Proven leadership skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
+ Consultative and collaborative approach
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
