The Senior Marketing Consultant II, Content Strategy & Thought Leadership is a newly created, strategic US Marketing role. This individual will be responsible for building and executing a fully integrated US content strategy with emphasis on Thought Leadership for the MetLife Brand that drives customer engagement and positions MetLife as relevant, differentiated and forward thinking.


The position requires an inspiring and highly effective manager, with the ability to work closely and gain support and trust of a wide range of individuals and teams.



  • Define the vision, content and thought leadership strategy and key tactics for the US MetLife brand - in alignment to MetLife US brand and business strategy
  • Re-define the strategy and content for a yearly business trend study to be best-in-class, forward thinking and a must-read for customer
  • Define influencer strategy and linkage to content strategy/ communication plan
  • Define and implement thought leadership strategic themes and tent poles
  • Develop integrated US content 3-year activation roadmap, yearly editorial calendar, content for marketing campaigns in collaboration with business marketing heads and US digital marketing team for digital channels
  • Partner and forge strong relationships internally and with best in class agencies and external partners to drive content innovation


  • 8+ years of consumer brand marketing with emphasis on content and thought leadership strategy and activation across offline and online channels
  • Experience in developing content marketing strategies based on segmentation, consumer insights, and brand positioning with measurable in market success
  • Proven success of leading content marketing strategy from conceptualization to implementation for a large brand or portfolio of reputable brands
  • Track record of designing and delivering strong content for marketing campaigns across multiple channels within a complex environment
  • Ability to inclusively and pro-actively lead, influence and motivate individual contributors across a highly matrix environment
  • Experience with branded organization/company and publisher
  • MBA or other advanced degree desirable
