A direct hire Senior Mechanical Analyst Engineer job in Franklin, Wisconsin is available courtesy of Adecco Engineering and Technology.This person would be responsible for the development and documentation of mechanical design analysis in a cross-functional engineering team environment. He or she would provide support to other departments including manufacturing, sales, customer service, and quality. Some of the products include: strength analysis of trays, integrated services, aircraft antenna provisions, aircraft fuselage, and control panels used for aircraft avionics and entertainment.
The Senior Mechanical Analyst Engineer job responsibilities include:
Developing detailed structural reports by analyzing product or equipment specifications, performance requirements, and strength capabilities. Performs diverse and complex design, modification, and evaluation of products by applying advanced engineering principles.
Conducting complex analyses pertaining to the development of new designs, methods, materials or processes and completes required documentation by applying advanced engineering principles and company standards. Generates detailed reports, procedures, or change proposals. Prepares documents and presents results to internal and external customers.
Develops acceptance, engineering product evaluation, development and qualification/certification test plans, procedures, and reports for large scale or complex products. Compiles and analyzes operation, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment or product.
Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, strength-weight efficiency, contractual specification requirements, cost-determining optimum solutions, and implementing recommendations.
Broad ability to evaluate complex structures, trays, and aircraft component installations (antennas, racks, and trays) for fatigue, stress, and load distribution utilizing current analytical methods and appropriate mathematical software. Directs preparation of structural design reports by coordinating with customer, engineers, designers, and drafters, interpreting complex customer and functional requirements.
Reviews complex structural reports and analysis to ensure clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, and specifications. Identifies analysis errors, omissions, and other deficiencies. Directs revisions and improvements to analysts or engineers.
Communicates with customer to establish understanding of customer's technical requirements and convey design capabilities, product performance, and organizational expertise. Identifies new business opportunities.
Directs or coordinates and leads organizational improvement initiatives that involve cross-functional team settings and responsibilities.
Provides leadership, trains, and mentors engineers.
When required, creates and maintains project schedule, resources, and budget, which includes the generation of milestones required to complete assigned projects.
Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field of study with seven or more years of industry experience typical, Master's with three years of industry experience typical.
Knowledge about the operation and design of aircraft Mechanical and avionics systems is a plus.
General Knowledge of mechanical fastening/joining systems and associated procurement and process specifications.
Experience with the tools required for design, analysis evaluation, and integration (i.e. computer aided design systems, mathematical modeling software, finite element analysis software, tolerance analysis software).
Familiarity with regulatory certification requirements for aircraft Mechanical and avionics systems is a plus.
Strong MS Office skills: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel.
Skills in the use of 2D and/or 3D design software a plus.
Optimally utilizes all channels of communications.
