Senior Network Security Consultant

Job Summary

The Senior Network Security Consultant will be responsible for planning, executing, and supporting implementations of network based security solutions for clients. The Senior Network Security Consultant will serve as a project or team lead to ensure high-quality delivery. This position will perform work, as well as oversee the technical work of junior level personnel, and will work directly with other project leads, managers, and/or executives to communicate business and technical aspects of the work being performed. This position may also assist with the engagement economics of the projects, including budget status tracking. The Senior Network Security Consultant will execute the following responsibilities:

  • Plan the integration of Cybersecurity solutions into existing network environments
  • Act as a support escalation point for junior consultants
  • Work with other consultants and clients in the pre-sales stage of engagements, including solution research and development of scopes of work
  • Manage and participate in multiple implementation projects
  • Assist with research and evaluation of new Cybersecurity solutions
  • Implementation of network infrastructure hardware and software solutions
  • Prepare reports or other necessary documentation as required to meet project deliverables
  • Submit recommendations to clients for corrective action or to support a recommended approach to solving the client’s needs
  • Participate in strategic and tactical objectives to include new product offerings, identify additional client needs and generating new business leads
  • Correspond with a variety of clients and communicate security issues, recommendations and deliverables effectively

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years of business experience in Cybersecurity and/or Networking
  • Significant experience with switching, routing and firewall technologies
  • Experience within consulting or professional services firms is a plus but not required
  • Experience in implementation and support of network infrastructure technologies such as SIEM, end-point protection, DLP, and network access control is highly desirable but not required
  • Written and interpersonal communication skills are expected to be of a high quality
  • The ability to handle multiple projects concurrently is a must
  • This is a client facing role, so strong interpersonal skills and customer service is required
  • Existing certifications or demonstrated progress towards certifications from Cisco, CheckPoint, Palo Alto, Symantec, or similar companies preferred
