Senior Optical Engineer to play a role in design and development of IOL devices and supporting IOL R&D projects by:

•Developing and verifying complex optical metrology systems and test methods
•Analyzing manufacturability of critical optical parameters by conducting complex optical modeling and analysis
•Generating and releasing product optical specification and tolerances
The role's major accountabilities include
•Generate optical test method development and V&V plans for IOL projects
•Core team and/or sub team representation of metrology activities in IOL projects
•Conduct tolerance analysis and tolerance budgets for manufacturability assessment
•Perform V&V of optical test and metrology systems
•Troubleshoot optical metrology instruments
•Evaluate novel metrology instruments and test methods
•Work with external vendors to bring new capabilities in house
•Support tech transfer to MTO
•Support product registration activities
•Provide technical support to MTO for production optical metrology instrument validation and troubleshooting

Minimum requirements •BS, MS or PhD in Optics, Optical Engineering, Physics or a related engineering field
•4+ years of work experience is preferred
•Experience with optical metrology equipment such as aberrometers, interferometers etc.
•Experience with optical design, optical tolerance assessment
•Ability to generate, read and evaluate optical drawings and specifications
•Proficiency with industry standard optical engineering tools: Zemax, Code V
•Proficiency with Matlab preferred
