The Senior Planner / Buyer is responsible for the procurement and management of all materials necessary for the manufacturing and shipment of final products. This position includes responsibility for all purchasing activities, managing inventory levels, and planning and scheduling manufacturing. The Senior Buyer/Planner is responsible for building and managing strong relationships with all suppliers.
• Manage and execute all sourcing activities, in alignment with company strategy and policies/procedures.
• Partners with Manufacturing Engineers to investigate suppliers to confirm evaluation of capability, service, cost and overall suitability.
• Develop and manage supplier relationships to encourage supplier optimization, in areas such as contract management, communication, negotiation and issue resolution.
• Procures materials for manufacturing and shipment of final product. This includes identifying and ordering the proper quantity, negotiating pricing and shipment terms and overseeing the timely delivery of materials needed to fulfill customer orders.
• Manage procurement within assigned budget parameters.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate inventory at all times, scheduling and receiving shipments of raw materials as well as scheduling manufacturing.
• Manage and execute all planning activities. Proactively assess current state and forecast demand to ensure optimum operating levels. Remains attentive and agile to quickly react to changes in demand and supply.
• Identify and develop metrics to showcase the performance of the planning/buying function.
• Develops and maintains strong working relationships various groups within NeuWave and Ethicon, such as manufacturing, distribution/logistics, and quality, among others.
• Exhibits exceptional, proactive communication regarding all related responsibilities. Strives for continuous improvement in all aspects of work and relationships.
• Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations. Provide support for ensuring, improving and maintaining compliance with FDA and other related government regulations, company QMS requirements and any other requirements defined by the company.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing processional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related activities as needed.
• Participates in other activities as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years relevant supply chain experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office, to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to positively manage working relationships.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines and possess excellent follow through skills.
• Highly motivated, efficient, and enterprising with an inherent ability to drive tasks and projects to full completion.
• Curious, driven to achieve, and willing to challenge and ask thoughtful questions.
• Demonstrated ability to positively manage working relationships.
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, as well as with others.

• Previous experience with an ERP (Epicor or SAP).
