Current Need
McKesson is hiring a Senior Pricing Analyst in Richmond.

Position Description
Responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, operating forecasts, etc. Performs economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance, and impact of governmental requirements.

Position Summary
This position will play a crucial role in the Extended Care (EC) Pricing team to drive business unit success, including partnering with Category Management, Sales, Contract Admin, Information Technology, and others. The successful candidate will possess deep analytical rigor to identify trends and harness competitive advantages as both an individual contributor and people leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quote support – Work with key constituents to provide analytical rigor and guidance as needed for developing customer proposals across multiple classes of trade.
  • Report automation – Ideate, develop and continuously improve tools to enable timely, accurate and well-structured content requiring minimal ongoing oversight.
  • Data integration / innovation – Serve as resource to assist in the planning, mapping, testing and migration of databases to ensure business continuity.
  • Training / succession planning – Mentor junior analysts; champion the adoption of new technologies/processes. Document and standardize best practices. 
  • Ad hoc projects – Participate in longer-term cross-functional initiatives as business needs arise, independent of day-to-day objectives.
  • Presentations – Communicate with various audiences to influence and inform; serve as EC Pricing representative at company and industry events.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • 8+ years accounting, finance, finance analytics or similar experience
Critical Skills
  • Progressive experience in analytical role in a mid to large size institution
  • Must be intermediate to expert level in Excel
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and speak to a story or data trends
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
Preferred Skills
  • SQL
Education
  • MBA preferred in finance or related field or equivalent experience
