Job Description
We are looking for a senior product manager with a wide range of skills and accomplishments, including fostering customer communities, developing product strategies and roadmap, and executing to deliver value to customers time and time again.

Workday unveiled Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) recently at Workday Rising 2016.  DaaS extends the analytical power of Workday in an innovative new way and satisfies what customers have been asking for.  With DaaS, customers have the option to contribute their Workday data, in an anonymized and aggregated fashion.  The anonymized and aggregated data is provided back to customers as useful metrics and trends representative of the collective customer community.  There will be several components to this offering over time, starting with best practice benchmarking that lets customers uncover insights around organizational performance with peer comparisons.

First and foremost, this senior product manager position requires fostering a strong customer community.  The candidate must be strong in outbound activities, working directly with customers, Sales, Presales, Customer Success Management, Product Marketing, and other teams close to Workday customers.  Effective verbal and written communication is key.

Secondly, the position requires experience in Analytics relevant to Human Capital Management and/or Financials.  The benchmarks most valuable to our customers require subject matter expertise in these areas.  Other requirements include working effectively with a highly technical engineering team in refining requirements and roadmap.  Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the team executing like a startup within the strong and supportive framework of Workday.

  • Fast learner, detail oriented and must enjoy fast paced work environments  
  • Excellent analytical, collaboration, verbal and written skills
  • Experience working with clients and participating in customer-facing situations
  • Experience with web technologies or SaaS required
  • Prior Product Management experience required
  • Reporting or Analytics experience required
  • 4-7 years enterprise software experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical major
