Job Duties: Drive Portfolio strategy discussions across PM, CTO office, engineering and competitive intelligence and lead cross-functional teams (PM, PMM, sales, etc) to change product direction/gtm/etc, and to change the game on how we compete with our key competitors. Responsible for overseeing the portfolio of businesses across DPAS & DPC and driving action that will enable us to achieve top & bottom line results. Creates "first, best content" which describes and communicates our strategy, vision and product roadmap for internal EMC audiences. Manages the collection and definition of candidate features and functions across all cross-functional areas resulting in the long range planning documents. Review and analyze data from all sources, e.g., customer requirements, market analysis data, revenue numbers. Analyzes and understands competitors and their products as well as potential partner relationships for the product along with Business Development. Collaborate with Product Marketing, Product Management and Program Management to develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan for portfolio, working with all departments to execute. Analyze financial impact of program changes. Manages cost and cash flow model for products. Supports senior staff with research, development and presentation of new product concepts to gain timely management approval and handling of issues for product feature/function set.
Job Requirements: Master’s degree in Comp. Sci., Engin(any), Business, Math, Physics, or related technical field. 24 months experience in job offered or computer related occupation. Education or Experience must include: 1) Technology product management experience in managing backup or routing technology products; 2) Business intelligence and reporting tools SFDC and Business Objects; 3) Data analysis and financial modelling; 4) Product forecasting or market sizing; 5) Pricing analysis for backup or routing products; 6) Managing business operations for product management group; 7) Manage a portfolio of enterprise backup or routing products; 8) Experience in transitioning customers from one product to another (for enterprise backup or routing). Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
