The Global Technology & Operations group (GTO) is a diverse team of engineers, developers, business analysts, and project managers with the freedom to create innovative solutions to address core business challenges within MetLife. Our team within GTO is responsible of the support of production applications which enable our business partners to predictively analyze data across the different products. This role sits within the Regional Application Development (RAD) Production Support’s Data and Application Services team and will help resolve incidents on these applications and perform root cause analysis and problem remediation to decrease interruptions to the systems and improve processes.


  • Will maintain applications in the production environment.
  • Identify and implement solutions to optimize operating efficiency of production systems and processes.
  • Manage and execute scheduled events in the production environment such as disaster recovery testing, platform upgrades and Audit/compliance/regulatory requests.
  • Performs break-fix coding and/or scripting and maintains records to document break-fix code changes.
  • Gathers and analyzes metrics around performance and cost; documents internal processes and procedures.
  • Ensures all nightly production batch trails are completed on time based on SLA commitments.
  • Interacts with vendor consultants in performing day-to-day production management activities.
  • Responsible for change management. release management and Audit/compliance/regulatory activities.
  • May guide the work of more junior staff.



  • 3+ years of experience in production support with any RDBMS
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Hadoop, Informatica ETL, MDM, Java, BI Reporting Tools (Actuate, Cognos, Qlikview, or similar).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
