We are looking for a seasoned, technical Program Manager to help protect Microsoft users and our services from online threats. We are the SmartScreen team and our technologies/services warn users when they may be at risk. We are on the front line of stopping millions of crimes in progress every week and you can join us in that fight!

You will collaborate both internally and externally on abuse related scenarios to help protect Microsoft users from attackers. You will partner with our applied research team, data sciences team, engineering teams, and systems engineering teams to drive and deliver real-time protection technologies and services aligning to the team’s investments and customer promises.

Day-to-day responsibilities includes, but is not limited to:

•Taking ownership of multiple services and intelligence systems that help warn users when they are at risk from an online threat and driving the team’s investments to deliver on customer promises.

•Managing and driving projects for the team’s investments across engineering, applied research, and data sciences; and driving multiple cross-team partnerships.

Basic qualifications:

•4+ years experience in Program Management

•BS/MS/PhD in computer science or electrical engineering or additional 4 years experience

Preferred qualifications:

•Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to work independently in highly ambiguous environments

•Excellent communication skills and strong cross-group collaboration skills

•Proven experience with rapid prototyping, evaluation, and iterative improvement

•Demonstrated applied machine learning, analysis, or Internet safety experience with a focus on customer impact is a plus

•Track record of going deep and quickly ramping up on new technologies
