As Oracle rapidly expands its cloud portfolio, here's an opportunity to be at the center of action for Oracle Database Cloud Services. The Database Program Management team is looking for a dynamic person to manage fast-paced, short-cycle Database releases for the cloud.
The role is highly visible and involves working with global, cross-functional teams to determine release content, publish timelines to internal
and external stakeholders, and track all release activities on a continuous basis. The program management team establishes priorities, addresses roadblocks
and drives resolution of issues to ensure schedules are met. It also presents release status to executive management regularly.
The role provides opportunities to analyze metrics and engineering processes, design new ones and implement them.
The ideal candidate would have 8-12 years of experience in a product development organization, broad technical knowledge, strong interpersonal and
communication skills, and the ability to gauge organizational dynamics. Some project management experience would be advantageous. This is position is well-suited for professionals looking to balance technical challenges with management and planning responsibilities.
Work requires extensive management tracking of features and fixes through development, Service/Cloud QA and Cloud Operations. Requires tracking of dependencies across the Service/OPC technology stack in addition to risk management to ensure timely and successful delivery to Cloud. This person will also be responsible for ensuring timely triage and delivery of critical fixes for Database Cloud service(s).
The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of Oracle Database/Oracle Cloud products and underlying architecture/infrastructure. The right candidate will possess a strong technical program management background, with demonstrated experience leading large cross-functional technology projects. The candidate must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
