MetLife’s projects span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique implementation challenges we face daily. As a member of the Portfolio Management team, you will be responsible for managing Portfolio governance, strategic alignment to corporate strategy, performance and risk for a global technology organization. You will manage executive communications on a global portfolio of approximately $500M. You’re excellent at communicating to all levels and are comfortable explaining your analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing program/project status, benefits realization or financial variances with front-line project managers. This Sr. Project Lead position is integral to helping transform the Global Technology & Operations organization and the prospect of that excites you.

    

 

  • Oversees the health of the portfolio of initiatives, monitors performance, and ensures portfolio is on track to achieve desired results
  • Sets guidance and monitors Portfolio health from Business Case through to Benefits Realization
  • Responsible for tracking key financial investment initiative milestones, including risks and opportunities, and recommending adjustments based on strategic investment.
  • Provides transparency to executive management of portfolio pipeline, health, and issues
  • Ensures consistency in governance, processes, and financial accuracy
  • Supports the governance and project status review meetings

 

  • Experience with Project, Program and/or Portfolio Management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills, understands what it takes to deliver software with exposure to large-scale systems
  • Experience in financial project operations including accruals and forecasting
  • Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Clarity (or similar) tools
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; PMI / PMP Certification desired
  • 8+ years related IT and/or business/financial work experience
