YOUR MISSION:
 
Establishes and improves processes, tools and training to enable continuous improvement of current model and forward model products and processes.  Develops and manages links to the Global PASA and AIS business including the quality business plan creation and monthly update.  Establishes and improves new Product Development Process (PDP) /Quality Operating System (QOS) – and meetings to drive a (Plan Do Check Act) (PDCA) methodology - establishing and improving best practices and tracking and reporting the implementing across supply, design, and manufacturing.  Establishes, improves, maintains, and reports audit plans to ensure discipline in industry standard certifications and process integrity across the value stream.
 
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
 
  • Establishes and improves business plans for PASA Quality and link to Japan – Automotive Industrial Systems (AIS) / Global Manufacturing Innovation Center (GMIC) / Global Quality Advanced Center (GQAC) communications
  • Leads QOS meeting plan and execution with PASA Advanced Quality (AQ) and PASA Customer Quality (CQ).
  • Maintains a common Quality Management System (QMS) with AIS globally.
  • Develops layered quality training programs and deploy across functions globally.
  • Provides mentoring and coaching for problem solving.
  • Establishes and improves best known methods repository (Engineering/Manufacturing/Supply) including the creation of processes to update them.
  • Creates a quality web hub to link to Customer specific requirements, Scorecards, and a repository for training for global teams.
  • Establishes and improves global file sharing capability developing PASA Standards for Design, Manufacturing, Safe launch, and Supplier management.
  • Provides executive global review for Quality monthly reports (AQ, CQ, SQ, Validation, Launch, Plants)
  • Prepares reports, establish common formats for reporting - charts, graphs, and other statistical information.
  • Establishes and improves loss cost process identifying loss cost throughout the entire value stream – working with finance, engineering and the Plants – establish a base line and form cross functional teams and develop plans to address/eliminate
  • Establishes and improves goals, objectives, and budgets for area of responsibility by identifying necessary resources to implement business and quality objectives and adhering to them.
  • Plans and coordinates organizational activities, establishing priorities and sequences to meet the designated quality goals and objectives.
  • Develops, reviews, utilizes, and analyzes statistical data, reports, and other data to identify and resolve problems or address issues related to quality or management system. 
  • Creates, implements, enforces and maintains policies, procedures, and related documents to comply with customer and quality system requirements, including but not limited to directing internal audits, management, quality, resources reviews, quality plans, corrective and preventative countermeasures.
  • Advises appropriate management of problems and progress in area of responsibility.
  • Provides support for business proposal activity related to area of responsibility.
  • Develops new procedures to improve the capability of the business and its alignment globally.
  • Trains and deploys new processes globally.
  • Responsible for the management of information security as part of the normal management of the business.  Must cooperate with the Company ISM professionals in implementing the information security policies within the Company, and ensures that information is handled in compliance with the Global ISM related regulations.
  • Interprets and complies with Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
MUST HAVES:
 
  • Four-year college degree in business, management, operations, engineering, or quality related field.
  • Five (5) years previous experience in the "applicable" field.
  • Must have good understanding of process and systems engineering/IE/Quality approaches.
  • Experience in the automotive electronics industry highly preferred and PDP/APQP.
  • Bi-lingual English-Japanese or English-Spanish verbal and written communication skills highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with mainframe computer systems.
  • Black Belt Six Sigma certified.
  • Auditor Certification (ISO/TS)
  • Experience with PDP, Risk management, and Software Development (CMMI)(ClearCase)
