The Senior R&D Engineer is responsible for designing devices using SolidWorks, prototyping by hand and instructing technicians on device assembly, as well as performing bench testing and pre-clinical testing as needed. This position will also be working with external vendors to design and source components for new devices. The successful candidate should be familiar with standard measurement devices including DMM, oscilloscopes, and calipers, and capable of analyzing test result data for various projects using Excel and Matlab.
· A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or similar discipline is required.
· A minimum of 4-6 years engineering experience is required.
· An Advanced Degree, and/or a Master of Science degree is preferred. Previous medical device experience is a plus.
· Candidates are required to possess strong written and oral English communication skills.
· Documentation experience preferred.
· Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience preferred.
· This position will require up to 10% domestic and international travel and will be based in Irwindale CA.
