Job Description:

Assist with the management of the enterprise risk management process, including managing the activities of the Risk Management and Compliance Committee (RMCC) and maintaining risk management policy manual.
Monitor, analyze, and report on enterprise-wide risks and compliance with risk management policies and procedures.
Work with management to establish proper controls around power and gas procurement/trading and risk management activities.
Work with management to establish and implement risk management strategies and monitor their ongoing effectiveness.
Manage credit review process for energy counterparties and prepare supplemental credit analyses.
Perform integral and active role in the corporate strategic planning process.
Assist with the integration of input from the executive staff, department managers, and board members into the strategic planning process.
Helps develop tools, methods, and reports to communicate and implement strategic plans. Responsibilities include interaction and communication with senior company management and individuals throughout the company.
Assist with managing, training and mentoring risk co-op.


BA, BS, or BBA in Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Math, Statistics, or related field from an accredited institution.

Experience: Six years of experience in enterprise risk management, trading control, SOX accounting compliance, electric utility generation planning, or financial analysis.

Equivalent Experience: Three years of auditing and consulting experience with a Big 4 firm, or four years of experience in auditing, accounting, or finance with applicable Master's degree or certification.

Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: CPA, CIA, MBA, or Masters in related area are strongly preferred.

Specialized Skills: Moderate to advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge is strongly preferred.

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills are also desired.
