This experienced Insurance professional will be supporting all aspects of insurance for assets within a portfolio of energy assets and will report to the insurance leader for the business. This includes the placement of insurance, claim resolution as well as contract review and negotiation. This individual will also be expected to conduct insurance due diligence on new investments being considered by the business.
Supporting EFS deal teams on insurance due diligence for new transactions and asset sales. Lead insurance placements and renewals and claims negotiations for EFS owned assets.. Assist in the drafting and negotiating of insurance provisions for inclusion in transactional documents; i.e.. loans, leases, partnership and purchase & sale agreements and construction contracts. With EFS Legal, address third party liability claim issues (subrogation / indemnity actions). Able to influence senior leaders internally and externally. The role will be required to communicate with senior management on insurance related matters.
Bachelor's Degree, 5+ yrs corporate insurance or brokerage experience specializing in infrastructure, power generation and/or midstream energy. Experience in project finance / transactional structures / related insurance coverage; exposure to the claims process. Demonstrated knowledge of property damage, boiler & machinery, construction, delay in startup, business interruption, marine and commercial general liability insurances. Ability to interact effectively with EFS Technical Group regarding technology, equipment failure, fire protection and safety issues. Knowledge of Director's & Liability Insurance as well as other transactional risk products (political risk, environmental and reps and warranties Insurance). Experience in working with international insurance placements . Ability to collaborate and communicate across the organization.
