DePuy Synthes Spine is the Spine business offering a comprehensive portfolio of spinal care solutions for the treatment of the most simple to the most complex spine disorders using traditional and minimally invasive techniques.
The Sales Consultant (SC) VBA reports to the Area Sales Manager (ASM) VBA and is responsible for working at the direction of a ASM VBA and is responsible for the achievement of the annual sales forecast and other related targets in their geographic territory. Overall responsibilities include acquiring new customers, servicing existing customers, managing company assets, sales logistics, and execution of national, area, regional, and local initiatives. Position requires extensive travel within territory with likelihood of weekend work and possibility of overnight stays away from home. Majority of time will be spent in Radiology, ASC and Office settings and includes coverage of cases in interventional lab, ASC and offices, coordination of equipment required for case coverage, and logistics related to hospital, ASC and office billing and replenishment.
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. A minimum of 1 year previous sales experience or previous work experience where leadership skills and ability to work independently required. The ability to work in a lab/operating room environment required. 2 years+ of previous healthcare sales experience is preferred. Previous Hospital/IR or ASC experience and/or clinical experience in Spine, Orthopedic, Neurology, Pain Management is preferred. Ability to operate in a “technical” and very professional sales environment. A successful and consistent track record of delivering results is preferred. Strong interpersonal communications, negotiation, influencing, strategic thinking, problem solving and business acumen skills required. A qualified candidate will be efficient, organized, self-motivated, positive and pro-active. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 United States and a clean driving record. The ability to travel related to this role is required. Candidate must live in or be willing to relocate to the posted territory.
