The Global Scientific Engagement will:


  • Primary contact for Beauty scientific engagement activities in NA.
  • Work with the GSE Beauty Lead to develop an integrated relationship between JNJ and the dermatology profession in NA in areas of business interest.
  • Under the direction of the GSE BEAUTY Lead, leverage and  integrate relationships between relevant internal JNJ stakeholders, at local and regional levels, and relevant healthcare KOLs with JNJ local and global professional strategies.
  • Manage professional relationships with key opinion leaders and regional associations.
  • Activate Scientific Engagement strategies in NA in partnership with the marketing teams across NA.
  • Partner with Global GSE leader to support thought leadership initiatives aligned with Global mass and speciality BEAUTY priorities
  • Work with BEAUTY SE leaders to implement strategies for NA BEAUTY scientific engagement to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Serve as a resource and subject matter expert as directed at local advisory and congress activities as needed
  • Work with other BEAUTY SE parnters to design, development and implement programs related to educational, promotional and reporting materials for products related to clinical trials, solicited and non-solicited studies, publications, etc. Management of budget, contract negotiation and oversight of vendor activities in the region.
  • Manage the plans of Scientific Engagement- BEAUTY programs, including identification of critical paths, budget development and tracking of all projects. Manage review of promotional material as necessary for BEAUTY in NA.
  • Maintain relationship with key BEAUTY opinion leaders and professional associations across NA, manage Advisory Boards, Expert Panels and Speakers’ Panels. Contribute to maintaining a high level of internal JNJ scientific expertise by providing expert advice and access to external experts.
  • Mentor PharmD students and interns on rotation and define appropriate projects and timelines by establishing accountability for assignments, through management and creation of educational, promotional and reporting materials for use by internal and external stakeholders. Manages publication planning, preparation and review.
  • Provide trainings for key internal and external stakeholders including sales strategy team, sales force, marketing, retailers, etc.
  • Ensures compliances with HCC and legal guidelines. Maintains collaborative working relationship between Scientific Engagement and internal stakeholders to deliver timely and expert support to product development. Implements policies and procedures for development and provision of technical information pertaining to the company's products for internal use by customer and by government.

Qualifications
  • Healthcare degree required (e.g. – PharmD, MD, Nurse, or any other health care related degree)
  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience required.
  • Strong scientific background required.
  • Experience developing and delivering effective educational and scientific communication required.
  • Experience of collaboration in scientific research and education required.
  • Strong inter-personal and partnering skills required.
  • Above average presentation skills required.
  • Up to 25%domestic travel required.
  • This position is required to be based in Skillman, NJ.
