Seeking a research-minded developer with “big data” analytics / cloud / systems skills-position will build and integrate data analytics tool suites as well as work with data in state-of-the-art data science techniques. Experience with NoSQL distributed computing platforms such as Apache Spark is a preferred, but general familiarity with one of Hadoop / Amazon / Azure software stacks is necessary. Practical experience with large-scale elastically provisioning hardware (e.g., Azure / AWS) is also necessary. Also candidates should possess cloud / distributed system debugging skills and experience. They should be passionate about building impactful technologies and interested in an applied research environment that adapts to meet goals. Position will need to maintain relationships across remote teams of developers building back-end data processing algorithms and may involve interacting with users and their data in order to maximize collaborative project success (within research and with product groups as well). The ability to communicate and share ideas in a diverse team setting, as well as familiarity with modern data structures such as quad trees, hierarchical graphs, or geospatial storage techniques is a plus.
