The Azure Stack team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a team of developers that is transforming how private cloud is operated securely. This is a high visibility team reporting to the Azure Stack Director of Software Engineering, accountable for research of emerging cloud infrastructure and application threats, as well as static and dynamic security tools and security integration for Microsoft’s engineering services. Current investments include driving the Azure Stack identity isolation (Assume Breach), building the foundation for access management and performing blue team activities focused on remediating high risk and systemic classes of security issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other
technical disciplines, or 4 years of technical work experience
• 7+ years of software development/engineering experience
• 5+ years in one or more of the following programming
languages: C/C++, C#, Java, Python, PowerShell
• Experience with Windows Server security capabilities
• Experience with owning or driving large scale and highly
available services, components or feature areas
• Demonstrated excellence in Coding, Code Review and
• Strong customer focus and data driven approach
• End-to-end Delivery & Innovation
• Agility in fast paced environment
• Understanding of Active Directory, Directory Services and
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
• Experience optimizing automation, reliability and monitoring of
