The Windows Devices Group is creating a device experience that is personal, relevant, connected and reliable. The Storefronts team is focused on building the next version of Device Storefront Experiences.

We are looking for a strong, growth-minded senior developer who has extensive experience in services to join our team and help bring our big vision to life of building services for amazing Store and in-app Store experiences. Our team delivers the services components of the Storefront Platform. These services underpin the Store Client App, the in-app Store SDK functionality and the store operations within the Windows OS itself. You’ll be working closely with our Store App team, the Store OS team, first party apps, and the full range of Universal Store services teams.

You’ll help build a service that scales to service all Windows devices, working to provide high quality, high performance features with fast turnaround. You will be engaged throughout all phases of the product cycle and will be expected to drive multiple architectural and engineering designs with multiple partner teams across the division and across the company. You will be mentoring junior developers and promoting engineering excellence by providing disciplined and insightful code reviews.

•Good organizational skills and an eye for details.

•Solid oral and written communications skills and have strong demonstrable C/C++/C# coding and debugging skills.

•7 years software development experience is required.

•A BS or MS degree in CS is required.

The ideal candidate will also possess:

•A proven track record of creating and maintaining high quality services and a strong desire to join and influence a sustainable, high performance culture.

•Hands-on experience with app development and app platform marketplaces - personal or professional - is a BIG plus.
