We are looking for a highly motivated full-stack software engineer to define and build features and services that will bring the next generation of education experiences to anyone, on any device, at any time. Our highly scalable services aim to serve millions of teachers and students across the globe and ISVs who will use our services to build their own applications to reach educators.
Our engineering culture is dynamic and data-driven. Team members are encouraged to explore innovative ideas, establish hypotheses, and implement them iteratively to learn and adapt quickly. We are passionate about pursuing service agility and deploy frequently to production. Our core platform - the Classroom Assignment service - is a distributed RESTful API deployed in Azure and built on top of the Substrate (SDS) and SharePoint. Our UI experiences are built on top of the React framework.
The ideal candidate has experience in the following:
• 5+ years’ experience in software required
• Building Single Page Apps using React and REST services
• Localizing web applications and making them accessible
• Writing good documentation, unit and integration tests
• Transforming static mockups from designers into rich user experiences
• BS degree in engineering, computer science or math strongly preferred; equivalent work experience may substitute
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
