The Active Directory Fabric Engineering team, part of the Identity Division (C + E) is working on fast growing businesses impacting 100?s of millions of customers. The continued success of Microsoft?s cloud story hinges on our ability to provide identity solutions that offer the same seamless integrated experience as our customers expect. Designs and implementations span Microsoft cloud services such as AAD, O365, and Intune as well as on-premises products in the Active Directory family (including ADFS).

Are you passionate about impacting the next generations of Active Directory and Microsoft cloud-services with new technologies and innovative problem solving? You will have the opportunity to develop deep expertise in complex areas centered around cloud technologies, networking, security, scalability and many other core competencies. The team is looking for a Software Engineer II with an excellent track record. You will be a key as we scale and extend the power of Identity to the Cloud. You will take on large scope of ownership and be challenged by hard-core requirements, large code bases both old and new, and the need to consistently produce robust and secure server-side code in a fast-moving environment. If you are the type of person who gets motivated by these types of challenges, and you are excited by the opportunity to design and code new features in the new expanded Identity environment - then this is the job for you!

Successful candidates will have experience in designing, implementing and shipping complex commercial products or cloud services; have demonstrated excellence in designs and code they have produced; be a creative thinker that is able to develop features that map to customer needs. A proven ability to write secure, reliable and maintainable code and then effectively test and debug it is a must.

Qualifications: Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or comparable fields

Excellent technical design and programming skills

3+ years of designing and developing complex world class products

Proven and demonstrable skill in C++ or C is necessary (C# a plus)

Strong communication skills

Drive and flexibility for working a fast-paced environment while excelling in engineering
