Title: Sr. Software Engineer

The successful candidate will have a proven track record implementing high-value business systems and programs with clear KPIs and measurable value. As we trend towards our first $1B in annual revenue, it is essential we get our processes and systems right for subsequent growth. Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!
The Sr. Software Engineer will play a key role within the Business applications Integration team at Splunk, working closely with leadership and internal customers as we develop and expand on a strong set of API led capabilities to super-charge our business. Working cross-functionally with a broad set of business partners, you will use keen business process understanding, appreciation for simplicity and quality, critical thinking, and a bit of elbow grease to create holistic solutions that meet business and technology objectives while furthering Splunk's long-range goals.
You will be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team responsible for accelerating and streamlining the enterprise integrations, integration standards & toolset, and driving automation. You will be challenged with identifying Innovative ideas and proof of concepts to deliver against the existing and future needs of our customers.
Requirements: I've already done that or have that!
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in an IT or engineering role developing and supporting integration web services
- Excellent experience in designing & developing web services using Mule ESB, Mulesoft Anypoint platform, Oracle SOA, TIBCO and similar tools
- Excellent experience with SOAP & REST style web services, XML, XSLT, JAVA, web services, scripting tools like Python, Groovy
- Deep understanding of Service Oriented Architectures, micro-services framework & lifecycle, scalable enterprise design
- Passion for continuous process performance improvement
- Experience with API management, security, OAuth and OpenID technologies
- Experience with test frameworks like Junit, Munit, TestNG and automated testing
- Highly motivated and self-starter who is quick and open to adapt to new technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Prior integration experience with Cloud SaaS platforms like Salesforce, Netsuite ERP, Workday, Eloqua
- Previous experience with AWS & Splunk desirable
- Good understanding of IT business functions like CRM, ERP, Marketing etc
- Prior experience with Splunk product highly desirable *
