Do you have a passion for building cool, complex visualizations and workflows using JavaScript technologies like jQuery, React, Backbone, D3 etc? Do you like shaming the backend engineers by modifying python or java services to get your stuff up and running fast? Splunk's IT Operations and Analytics team is looking for an experienced front-end developer to enhance the user experience on their IT Service Intelligence product. You will get to work with a super smart bunch of folks who are doing state of the art development work (both front-end and back-end) in areas of machine learning, data analytics and correlations across silos to build best in class IT operations analytics software. You will be interacting with product management and customers to understand detailed requirements. You will help drive faster continuous delivery cycles for cloud customers and robust periodic deliveries for on premise based customers. You will also work with other engineering teams across Splunk to design and build high-performance solutions.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of meaningful industry experience
  • Expert JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React
  • Experience collaborating with design and cross functional engineering teams to make the complex simple for the user
  • Full web stack development experience
  • Comfortable working with development on Linux, Unix, and Windows systems
  • Experience working on ultra-high performance software that processes massive amounts of data in real-time
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and mentor junior team members
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • BS CS EE or equivalent
