YOUR MISSION:

Technical development and leadership role including developing software modules, creating design documents for Machine Learning applications.  Responsible for developing applications leveraging the latest Machine learning frameworks including tuning of training data, training models, and validation and optimization of models. Gives direction to both on-shore and off-shore development teams to develop new features, debug defects and write unit level test frameworks and test cases.   

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

·        Works with project lead and management to analyze requirements, design, implement and maintain machine learning frameworks with on-time and high quality deliverables to multiple customers.

·        Develops machine learning applications using C/C++ programming for embedded systems. 

·        Uses the latest machine learning and deep learning frameworks like Caffe, Theano, Torch, TensorFlow or similar. 

·        Trains on neural networks and statistical models for machine learning applications.

·        Evaluates performance of trained models.

·        Converts machine learning applications to run in embedded C/C++ programs.

·        Optimizes machine learning applications on embedded platforms.

·        Works with global software development teams to develop new features, debug defects and write test cases for unit testing.

·        Leads and/or participates in meetings between PASA, suppliers, and PASA's customers for design reviews and to track project status.

·        Evaluates new software releases from suppliers to ensure it meets the acceptance criteria.

·        Coordinates software development activities with other software teams.

·        Keeps abreast of new technologies and methods for the purpose of recommending changes that will benefit current and future customer programs.

·        Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields.

·        Interprets and enforces (complies) Company policies, procedures, and regulations.

·        Will initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.

·        Performs other related duties as assigned


Qualifications:

MUST HAVES:

·        Four-year College Degree in at least one STEM major (Science; Technology; Engineering; Math) and a minimum of five (5) years of experience; or a minimum of ten (10) years of full life cycle embedded software development in electronics products. Minimum of two (2) years leading a team of software engineers with a formal development process such as Agile, Waterfall,

·        Scrum, or Extreme Programming.

·        Minimum of three (3) years working with Machine learning and/or Deep Learning applications

·        Proficient with C, C++, Python and Object Oriented Design (OOD).

·        Working knowledge of high-end embedded RTOS's such as Linux, Android, etc.

·        Working knowledge of Software Configuration Management (SCM) and Version Control Systems (GIT or similar).

·        Experience working in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Windows-based databases.

PREFERRED:

·        Experience mentoring and motivate team members.

·        Experience with Agile project management.

·        Experience in designing Application Programming Interfaces (API's).

·        Working knowledge of IDE's including Eclipse.
