The Senior Solution Engineer for QEM EtQ development will take a lead role in
the development of current and future solutions for various Quality Processes,
including NC/CAPA, Audit, Supplier Audit, EH&S, Change Control, Complaints
utilizing the EtQ Reliance Engine/Designer.
This role will be in the IT Application Services Quality Research
& Development System (QRDS) – Quality Event Management (QEM) EtQ team. The Senior Solution Engineer will be
responsible and play a crucial role for the technical development and
implementation of multiple projects as it relates to the configuration and web
services development of the EtQ Reliance platform. He/she is responsible for working with
Internal and external stakeholders to clearly identify and deliver technical
solutions that meet business objectives and measurable goals. He/She will
lead the effort to document technical requirements, architecture, design,
validation and deployment of new solutions as needed. He/she will also lead other EtQ developers
and collaborate with other technology development teams, including keeping
stakeholders informed of technical progress and risks. The Senior Solution Engineer will report to
the QEM EtQ Regional Service Owner.
- Lead QRDS QEM EtQ Reliance development projects, ensuring that
service performance meet or exceed established goals / SLAs, including on-time
and on-budget delivery of orders. Leads
service utilizing/specializing in EtQ based knowledge and skills, while
following approved J&J standard policies and procedures (e.g. SDLC,
Agile, Waterfall, IAPP, etc.). A broad
experience with EtQ configuration solutions and Report Development will be
required, including leadership and creativity to work within a large IT service
delivery organization to drive business solutions.
- Captures customer insights to improve [service name(s)] throughout
delivery, and delivers continuous improvement recommendations to service
owners. May conduct impact analysis on
process/tools coming from new/enhanced services.
- Involved in knowledge transfer to team members and organizations
after successful delivery of the service.
- Performs assessments of customer demand and partners with order
analysts to deliver estimates and quotes for EtQ Development service(s) to the
- May plan, select, and schedule approved vendors to deliver the
service. May oversee the work of vendor resources throughout a project.
- May manage the AS budget for the delivery of the service and be
responsible for reporting on service performance to leadership and customers.
- May develop service improvement plans and/or run service
- Working with other service
specialists and solution engineers, analyze incoming demand (small &
middle size) projects and requests for change, assessing the potential
technical solutions and creation of accurate and complete impact
- Lead the technical
development of the enterprise EtQ platform along with being responsible
for overall design solutions as well as hands-on software development.
- Work closely with the
Enterprise Architecture team, implementation partners, 3rd party vendors
and other technology teams to ensure right design standards and procedures
are in place, and followed for application development.
- Establishes and maintains
constructive working relationships and communication within global teams.
- Will act as a technical
development lead on all necessary projects.
- May be responsible for
applicable AS processes and change requests for managing delivery of
projects from conception to the end of hyper-care in alignment with JNJ
policies & procedures with regard to documentation and testing
guidelines as part of the release management for the platform.

solution(s) by working together in a global team.
- Actively participate in the
Continuous Process Improvement initiatives in IT AS by striving to look
for possible efficiencies, scalability and/or cost reduction opportunities
- Resolve business and
technical challenges in order to deliver on time, within budget and with
high quality keeping in mind the end goal of ensuring the realization of

adherence to all regulatory and business requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of
industry experience is required or 7 years of direct EtQ experience is
minimum of 4 years’ experience related to systems design, development and
integration of the ETQ Reliance Developer/Engine, including associated ETQ
- 2 years’
experience with Reports development in Cognos or Tableau or any equivalent
- 2 years
of SQL scripting experience in Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL required

and Java programming experience strongly preferred
Project Management skills required, managing global cross-functional team
of SDLC methodology, 21 CFR Part 11, GxP and CSV frameworks and best
practice models like GAMP are required.
