The Senior Tax Analyst must have a general understanding of Federal, State and International tax rules. The role is responsible for understanding the product sourcing flows, supporting tax transfer pricing models and international tax support for the Global Surgery Group of companies. This individual will be responsible for working closely with overseas operations to implement international tax planning strategies. In addition, the individual will be performing all calculations related to ensuring all profits between related parties are in accordance with the transfer pricing regulations under Sec. 482. They will also be responsible for any planning support required in the federal and the state income tax area.
This position is also responsible for the perform tax research, analysis and planning to minimize tax liability as well as identifying tax savings opportunities; provide support for all internal and external audits and various special projects that may arise. Position will drive process improvements and coordinate with Supply Chain Team to facilitate streamlining and automation of recurring calculations.
The right candidate for this position will exhibit the ability to multi-task, to prioritize effectively, meet challenging deadlines and be able to manage the business at a high level. They will need to function both independently and lead teams and play integral roles within a team with an innovative focus.Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required with a major in accounting preferred.
- A Masters in Tax, CMA or CPA certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years experience preparing corporate income tax returns is required.
- Experience with ASC 70 is preferred.
- Experience with SOX Tax requirements is preferred.
- Understanding of Sub Part F rules is highly desirable.
- Exposure to ERP General Ledgers such as JD Edwards or SAP is a plus.
- A firm understanding of financial accounting practices is required.
- Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Communication, time management and prioritization skills are required.
- Minimum of 10% domestic travel is required.
