POSITION SUMMARY
Weather Underground, part of The Weather Company and an IBM business, runs the largest network of weather and environmental sensors. This global network of 270,000 devices powers forecasts and other vital services on Weather Underground (WU) and Weather.com, and is the foundation of expansion into new business opportunities.

WU seeks a product manager with experience in the Internet of Things (IoT) field. This person will manage the existing network, and collaborate with engineering, marketing, design and business development to massively expand it.

As such the candidate should be able to work well in a cooperative and collaborative environment. Additionally, the candidate should be able to show a clear understanding of product management, design thinking and Agile software development.

We expect a strong grasp of web, mobile and back-end technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Set the product strategy for the sensor network
Work with web and apps teams to integrate sensor sign-ups into products
Develop interfaces to present sensor data to users
Create revenue streams and business models for the data streams
Form partnerships with device manufacturers and sensor owners
Work with marketing to motivate users to install devices and send data
Reply to support tickets from device owner's (devices include personal weather stations, air quality sensors and webcams)
