The SEO Content Strategist is responsible for the ideation & creation of digital content including copy writing. This position plays a key role in increasing Global Custom Commerce s search engine presence & position by strategically developing content that achieves specific SEO goals. The SEO Content Strategist will collaborate with various internal teams to ensure content is accurate & comprehensive. The individual will own the entire content life cycle - researching, planning, writing, editing, and publishing - following SEO & UX best practices. This role may involve working with outside agencies to help support content creation efforts.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
50%- Digital content creation: Write new content ensuring style, quality, & tone are consistent and on-brand. For each content piece, you will implement SEO best practices such as leveraging semantically related keywords, implementing proper headers, and optimizing page structure for featured snippets.
15%- Digital content ideation: Conduct competitor analyses, content audits, & content gap analyses. Work with various internal teams to finalize content form, objectives, & components.
15%- Project management: Lead and oversee all efforts to create, design, code, & publish content collaborating with both internal teams and outside agencies.
10%- Video optimization: Ensure SEO best practices are applied to all videos including, but not limited to, titles, descriptions, transcripts, and schema markup.
10%- Blog optimization: Ensure SEO best practices are applied to all blog posts including, but not limited to, titles, descriptions, and schema markup.
NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to the GCC VP of Marketing.
This position has no direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 3 years
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
E commerce experience
Experience with project management tools
Experience with SEO reporting tools and platforms such as Google Webmaster Tools, BrightEdge, & Conductor Searchlight
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- Experience creating digital content including copywriting

- Experience setting up & publishing digital content within a CMS platform
