Robert Half Technology is looking for a Service Desk Analyst to join a client of ours in Harbor Island for a 6 month contract to full-time opportunity. ROLE: Responsible for providing IT Service Desk support and services. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Adhere to incident, problem, and change management processes Answer incoming phone calls and email requests for technical support Create Service Desk tickets and assign to the appropriate IT resource group Answer questions regarding the use of corporate standard hardware and software Answer questions regarding the use of client software applications Produce appropriate documentation for all relevant activities Read and adhere to all company guidelines and policies REQUIREMENTS/Skills: This job requires excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to articulate and speak clearly on the phone. The ability to recognize a customers competence level and communicate at their level is a must, as is the judgment to be able to properly evaluate situations and immediately provide effective solutions. Flexibility, the willingness and aptitude to learn, and the ability to work well individually or in a team setting under pressure is necessary. Education: A two year degree or equivalent technical education is required. Knowledge: A solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems, Microsoft Office suite of products, desktop hardware, and mobile devices is required. Experience: A minimum of two years working experience providing technical customer support in a Service Desk environment, with specific experience supporting Microsoft products and desktop computers and mobile devices. Physical Demands: This is a desk job requiring extensive sitting. Physical activity is minimal, but may include light lifting. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: Answer technical question pertaining to technology hardware and software Respond to telephone calls, email and personal request for technical support Document, track and monitor reported incidents to ensure timely resolution Provide some administrative support, such as updating user account information, unlocking accounts and addressing password issues WORK CONDITIONS: This is an office position located in the Seattle, WA, corporate headquarters, or in one of our international offices.
