Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting experienced candidates for a Direct Hire Service Operations Manager job in Springfield, OH with one of our top clients. The Service Operations Manager will oversee all Service, Parts, and Warranty functions within the Service and Parts Division and will work to identify and secure new business of service work and part sales. Through defined opportunity mapping and direct sales efforts, the Operations Manager will create Division growth and professional development.

Position Responsibilities:

Make recommendations regarding staffing including hiring and firing.
Direct staffing requirements and locations to meet service needs and capacity planning.
Train and mentor subordinates in the areas of warranty, operations, day-to- day business operations, time management, measurable system components and program management (promotional service programs).
Drive overall quality improvement through communication and training of employees and suppliers.
Run Service department planning and organization meetings.
Review invoicing, expense reports, time sheets and overtime.
Monitor financial performance of Service and Parts including reviewing P & L of each job and overall performance.
Develop and implement office and shop operating procedures, forms and systems for improved flow.
Diagnose, repair and service vehicle concerns by coordinating with customers, dealers, and fellow employees to ensure service and parts are expedited to customer's satisfaction.
Anticipate customer and shop needs and develop recommended part stocking requirements.
Oversee warranty administration process.
Control process of and manage refurb and service campaign programs.
Support building the service/repair bid system.
Enhance communication with customers; manage a follow up system for customer calls for parts and service.


Four-year degree or equivalent work experience; 10+ years prior experience in related field or equivalent with increasing responsibility
5+ years Management experience
Preferred qualifications: Previous Fire Service management experience, EVT/ASE Master certification, Previous CRM development and implementation, Previous parts sales

The starting salary for this position would be around 70k and also includes a benefits package. This is a 1st shift position
