As the manager of the ServiceNow development team, you will be the leader of a critical, employee-facing, platform at LinkedIn, reporting to the Director of IT Architecture and Software Engineering in our Global Technology Solutions (GTS) organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic direction of the platform, as well as the development of the engineers who build upon it. You will be expected to work closely with our technical and business partners to deliver a portal to the company that significantly improves employee productivity and knowledge.
Mentor, coach, develop and grow top ServiceNow development talent Be an effective people manager with the ability to work hands-on as needed Lead a team of passionate ServiceNow developers to help drive the platform forward and enhance the capabilities available to LinkedIn employees Manage ServiceNow projects, including scoping, estimating, resource planning, and delivery management Leverage internal and external resources to develop the ServiceNow technical roadmap Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement Build strong partnerships within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies Partner with our Business Engagement team to understand the needs of the business, and directly work with business leaders on their requirements Create a platform strategy and technology roadmap by collaborating with the team, product and design partners Provide functional, technical and process leadership for both back-end and front-end engineering and development Lead cross platform initiatives focused on overall system performance, scale and availability Drive execution of API Frameworks, developer platforms and infrastructure roadmap Be a role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong bias for action and focus on craftsmanship Maintain high morale and motivate engineers to go above and beyond Ensure good communication to team and to upper management of all issues and decisions Provide project and technical leadership to a group of engineers Daily management of objectives, priorities, tradeoffs, risk and performance management of team Drive technical excellence and implementation of best engineering practices for the ServiceNow Platform
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 3+ years of experience leading and managing teams 2+ years experience architecting and implementing solutions on ServiceNow
