Job Description
This position is responsible for leading the shift milling team through the daily operation of two flour milling units and cleaning house units. The products produced must meet all BSM Co and customer specifications. All tasks must be completed safely and efficiently to ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements in accordance with established company policies and procedures. The position shall maintain the highest level of safety, quality and productivity as outlined by the Corporate Quality Policy.

1. Participate and promote a safety culture that fosters a safe work environment for everyone at the plant.
2. Lead the shift milling team to efficiently operate both mills and cleaning houses, justify decision making, boost morale. Furthermore, model respect, integrity, service, creativity and teamwork as outlined by the company core values.
3. Use reasoning skills to prioritize the operation of milling equipment to optimize Quality, Cost, Yield and Productivity on an ongoing basis. Check and adjust equipment on an on-going basis to account for changes in grain and other variables to ensure that the processing units are performing efficiently.
4. Develop, train and provide direction to Assistant Millers and fellow teammates to build an environment of continuous improvement.
5. Proactively participate in BRC/Internal, food security and quality inspections through the year.
6. Participate in mill PM work and daily tasks to uphold high standards and requirements.
7. Inform appropriate management personnel of any problems that could affect personnel safety, plant production, product quality, yields, or unnecessary downtime.
8. Seek out and identify opportunities to improve plant operating systems and products.
9. Assist other departments in off shift applications to accommodate needs when management is not at the location.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
At least one of the following three forms of education or experience is required.
-Bachelor's degree in Milling Technology
-Certificate of Completion of the AOM Correspondence Course.
-Minimum of 5 years related experience in a milling environment with at least 2 years direct involvement in milling operations
-Relocation expense will be considered for the right candidate
