Shipper/Processor position is responsible for the shipping of aerospace parts to internal and external customers. Ensuring proper quality documentation has been performed, initiating shipping in customer portals, packaging per customer expectations, ensuring labels are correct to ship to customers prior to due date.
 
Essential Functions:
 
  • Print labels & package parts to customer specifications
  • Understand how to access & interpret info. from MFG-Pro and customer portals to process parts
  • Ensure shippable products are delivered to the appropriate DSQR station
  • Interact with customer service, team leaders and quality on a daily basis to resolve customers’ issues
  • Qualified to process certificate of conformance Interact with different carrier such as FedEx, UPS, DHL & etc.
  • To solve more complex MRP requirements issues
  • Monitor the stock/inventory in order to ensure on time delivery. Report out for late deliveries by way of “End of Day Report” & “Date Change Log.”
  • Package materials per customer expectations
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of area through daily 5S+
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Willing to “cross train” on different tasks
  • When required work evenings or weekends and be available for over-time
  • Must have computer skills that include Microsoft Office, Spreadsheets, Email and keyboard typing.
  • Train new and existing employees
 
Position Criteria:
  • Computer literate with windows operating system and Microsoft knowledge
  • Ability to read and interpret processing documents
  • Experience working with MRP systems and customer portals
 
 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of the Beltsville facility will be considered
  • All positions require use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in arms regulations. All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S.Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum one (1) year of shipping and processing experience in a manufacturing environment 
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to work independently with no supervision and ability to work in team atmosphere
  • Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis
  • Must be able to use both hands constantly and work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours a day
