We have an immediate opening for a Shipping Operator at our Manufacturing facility in Clark, NJ. Shift will be 11am-7pm - training may take place on an earlier shift. Must be available for weekend work as needed. Description and Responsibilities Primary Purpose
Prepare and ship orders in a manner consistent with customer, company and regulatory requirements. Essential Functions/Responsibilities
: Accurately release the proper freight to the truckers as allotted on the Bill of Ladings. Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow good safety practices as directed by safety teachings. Following the instructions on the worksheets for order preparation: properly label, scan, seal, palletize and wrap product so that it meets customer specifications and can be transported safely and without damages. Follow the loading instructions on the bills of lading accurately and safely load freight onto trucks including any documentation as required. Using RF scanners consolidate LPN's to orders in IREN . Maintain GMP's and complete functions listed on the sanitation schedule. Consolidate containers in shipping area to maximize space usage. Proper handling of Allergen products and equipment according to Allergen Control Procedures Responsible for conformance to Food Safety and Food Quality Plans as described in the Kerry Clark SQF Systems manual. Must report any and all deviations to a member of management and QA- and set product aside until further instructed. Other duties assigned by supervisor/manager. Qualifications Minimum Requirements
High School or equivalent. Must be able to operate forklifts and other equipment integral to the job functions. Some basic computer skills. Basic math skills, capable of reading and writing in English. Knowledge of hazardous material regulations. Must have good communication skills both verbal and written.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and move up to 450 pounds. Must be able to see and distinguish between labels. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk through the warehouse.Working Environment
Factory environment with exposure to flavor and basic product chemicals and raw materials.
