Staffmark is hring for a Shipping/Packing Operations Lead for our client in the Northeast Dallas area.

The Shipping/Packing Operations Lead is responsible to coordinate the administration of all functions related to the staging, preparation and shipment of finished goods inventory. Therein, the position is responsible to supervise the movement of equipment, labor and material to ensure effective and efficient processing. Key requirements and challenges for the position are to:

�Organize, coordinate and participate in shipping operations activities. Therein, review and maintain production schedules to ensure appropriate labor is available to complete work in designated timeframe; measure individual and departmental performance against predetermined standards; recommend and work with management to take corrective action to assure efficient and economical material utilization, improve processes, and eliminate wasteful practices.

�Track, monitor and analyze production metrics and investigate/implement process improvement to ensure quality processing standards are maintained.

�Supervise and participate in management of finished goods inventory, recycle inventory and client storage inventory. Oversee activities inclusive of inventory stocking, order picking, shipment preparation, and internal movement.

�Supervise, train and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; prepare and administer disciplinary actions; prepare staffing schedules and assignments.

�Prepare and maintain records and reports pertaining to the operation of the department

�Administer and enforce high standards in housekeeping and safe work practices.

Education and Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor's level degree preferred (years of experience will count for education)

- Demonstrated supervisory experience in a warehousing environment;

- Proficient level business process knowledge in receipt, picking, packing and shipping

- Tolerance for the physical demands of working in a warehouse (ability to stand, lift, bend and kneel for extended periods of time in an environment that is not climate controlled);

- Proficient knowledge of WMS

- Working knowledge and experience with EHS/quality systems (ISO14001, ISO9001, OHSAS18001)

- Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

- Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;

- Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff and management and mentor those who report through the position

Requirements- Associate level degree-preferred (years of exp will replace degree)
