What do you get to do in this position?



The SIS Project Application Engineer provides post-sales technical expertise during the installation, implementation and maintenance of company products, following detailed customer installation requirements for Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems. Ensures that client’s needs have been met and that the product/solution is fully functioning according to specification for hardware and software design. May provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.

EDUCATION
Prefer BS Electrical, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE
Typically requires 2-5 years of related experience.

KNOWLEDGE
SIS (Safety Instrumented Systems) knowledge is expected.



Reviews and prepares project specifications to ensure the control system meets the technical requirements of the project. Ensures customer's budgetary and scheduling requirements are met, as outlined by the Project Manager.

Provides engineer control solutions on projects based on project specifications. Ensures the control system design meets the project specification. Oversees the hardware selection/specification and development of the control system software.

Responsible for the development and programming of the control system logic and the functionality of the control system. Uses logic drawings, control narratives and the basis of design documents to contribute to logic development.

Performs system testing and factory acceptance testing. Supports the factory acceptance test and develops a test document for selected projects as required.

Interfaces with customers on technical and contractual details. Provides customer support on assigned projects and future project needs.

JOB COMPLEXITY
Works on problems of limited to complex scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Builds stable working relationships internally.

SUPERVISION
Normally receives general instructions on all work. Work is regularly reviewed by supervisor/senior peers.

TRAVEL
Approximately 10-20% travel expected, mostly in the local area
