Adecco Direct Hire is currently recruiting on behalf of its client in Raleigh, NC for the job of Operational Excellence Leader. In this position, you will work with the Operational Excellence Manager and Site Leadership Team to identify areas of improvement, create projects, and assign resources for projects. You will manage and track the progress of projects to support company's short and long-range business objectives; You will consult with management regarding performance issues, and develop managers' skills in performance standards and metrics.
Collaborate with Site Leadership Team to identify potential process improvement projects in order to support the company's strategic direction
Assist in the creation of performance metrics, reporting and improvement targets for all business units
Drive culture change to instill focus on fact-based management practices, the use of Lean Six Sigma and other problem solving methodologies
Assist departments in the creation, monitoring, measurement and analysis of standardized processes.
Identify and eliminate or mitigate major COPQ (cost of poor quality) processes. Reduce defects/inefficiencies with the goal of becoming "defect-free"
Coach others on the technical tools of the Six Sigma methodology (this should be 'second nature' to you).
Demonstrated quantified results derived from Lean Six Sigma efforts within a medium- to large-scale organization is required.
Continuously improve organizational capabilities to achieve process quality as part of project execution at the company's Raleigh site.
Support project teams in process quality activities by educating, coaching and mentoring others on process improvement philosophy, tools and application.
Lead and Manage Process improvement projects to deliver measurable operational results.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization in Quality, Service, and overall Productivity.
Facilitate process improvement and coach the organization in the appropriate application of operational excellence tools and methods.
Communicate to key management stakeholders on significant performance issues and business opportunities.
Other duties as assigned by the Operational Excellence Manager.
YOU WILL HAVE:
Six Sigma Black Belt certification (minimum)
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university
5-8 years' experience in leading high performance teams, making decisions, analyzing data, and communication.
Minimum three years in the pharmaceutical industry
Background in managing Lean/Six Sigma projects and initiatives
Strong mentoring and coaching skills.
Advanced business and financial acumen.

High level of confidence in decision making
Ability to prioritize business initiatives using data driven decision processes
Problem Solving/Analysis skills
