Detailed Position Responsibilities: Imagine the city of the future where sensors are seamlessly embedded in our city's infrastructure to drive insights and create meaningful interactions with our citizens. This vision, part of what is known as the SmartCity, is one of the many topics being researched at Philips Lighting. Such interactions may span public spaces such as parks and roadways or private spaces such as homes, offices, and shopping areas. Detailed Position Requirements: (Degree/Experience/Skills) The ideal candidate must be graduate level student (PhD preferred) in computer science or an engineering related discipline. Extensive knowledge of deep learning for computer vision required, as is competence with Linux, C++, and algorithms. Familiarity with distributed systems a plus but not required Candidate must be able to work within a team environment and should be self-motivated with the ability to plan and execute. Candidate should also be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and written.
