This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer to be a part of ground breaking work at Philips Ultrasound Business group for our ultrasound and connected workflow products. New team members will be given ownership for feature-component development tasks that integrate with the overall feature design and implementation. Responsibilities include applying software development practices for OOA, designing, implementing, testing and documenting of applications and features. Team members own the successful delivery of the software component(s) as well as all associated multi-phase software process deliverables. They will be responsible for bringing new ultrasound and connected workflow features to market. Software will be carried through the full development life-cycle: requirement gathering, specification, design, coding, and test. Working in the Ultrasound Business with a team of extremely knowledgeable engineers is fun, challenging, and rewarding while directly contributing to the success of our ultrasound product lines and positively impacting the world we live in. Position Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: -BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent -Strong software engineering discipline -Strong object oriented design paradigms in C++, Objective-C or Java -3D programming software background is also a big plus, but not mandatory - guidance and training will be provided - Excellent communication skills - Good writing and verbal skills - Maintain and update existing code
