Fusion Applications Lifecycle Management (LCM) is looking for senior technical staff to be responsible for driving high performance, high scalability, resilient and secure solutions, architecture/designs and best practices for Life Cycle Management frameworks/tooling across the Fusion Applications technical stack. This includes support for the successful running of Fusion Applications for customers on Oracle Cloud (key focus), as well as for On-Demand and On-Premise customers. This is a senior position, working in the center of Oracle's Cloud and Fusion Life Cycle Management initiatives. The successful candidate will have a pivotal role in ensuring that Oracle Fusion Applications maintain world-class Life Cycle Management on the Cloud. As an Architect or Consulting Engineer, you will be in daily interaction with other key architects with Oracle, along with executives and leaders across the Fusion and Cloud initiatives. At the same time, the team will need your implementation and mentoring skills. You will work with team members spread across the globe. The successful candidate will also be responsible as lead designer on team projects, particularly around improving LCM database and Java performance. This is an extremely challenging, very fast paced, extremely rewarding and highly visible position. You will have the ability to "move the needle" for yourself and Oracle. You will be responsible for ensuring delivery of high end patching, upgrade and language pack solutions in the applications and middleware stacks and ensuring that integration between these products is secure and consistent with other Life Cycle Management solutions. This will require in depth knowledge of Oracle products such as WebLogic, Identity Management, and Java.
This will be a very rewarding position that provides substantial customer value. Projects are developed leveraging leading Oracle technologies such as Oracle SaaS/PaaS, Oracle Virtual Machine, Oracle Identify Management, Service Oriented Architecture, Oracle Cloud Machine, etc. and using programming languages/tools that include Java, Jython, XML, SQL, PL/SQL, and deployed on cloud based infrastructure as well as traditional physical infrastructure.
The work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. The candidate will act as a leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in lifecycle domain and in necessary technologies to provide architectural leadership to a large, world-wide team. The candidate should have deep architectural leadership experience in SaaS/Cloud as well as in enterprise software solutions. Must have previous experience with Life Cycle Management in either an Enterprise application or as a Life Cycle Management expert in a large corporation where the role required hands-on knowledge with artifact creation and deployment protocols and processes. The candidate must have experience in concurrent and multi-threaded software development on a large scale. A high degree of competence in written and verbal communication skills, including to executive audiences, is required. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 10-15 years of software engineering and technical leadership experience required.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
BS or MS degree in computer science or equivalent, with a solid practical foundation in Life Cycle Management and complex software system design
Deep understanding, implementation, and integration of products using Java and Life Cycle Management constructs
Significant experience with large scale data center implementations
Deep understanding of all aspects of enterprise level performance issues
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 more years of software engineering or related experience.
