Role Summary:

As our new Director - Digital Product Management, you will report to the Executive Product Management Director and be responsible for creating strong working relationships & influence across executive leadership, product management, engineering and other functional groups to execute the strategy within the business.

Essential Responsibilities:

As a domain expert for the portfolio, you will engage customers at mid-level management and technical levels to develop/refine and prioritize the strategy, approach, content and schedule of Service Pack releases. Additionally, this position has responsibility for day-to-day operational execution of a complex development team. As a key member of the Product Management staff the role will work across all Senior Product Managers to implement strategic initiatives to help the business manage costs and grow. This includes but is not limited to leading process improvements, certification testing, regulatory relationships, product and quality metrics required for successful delivery of projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

+ Proactively drive current portfolio and investment decision to balance customer needs, install base requirements (refresh) and long term enterprise differentiation. Evangelize concepts beyond current offerings and considers business model innovation (product, service and delivery innovations)

+ Lead Product Owners and Scrum teams through the development and release of critical features for current customers

+ Establish vision, identifies and champions internal / external best practices, tools and ideas to improve execution and quality

+ Own and be accountable for team financials, resources, staffing to assure commitments are met

+ Own and manage all certification testing and regulatory relationships

+ Demonstrate mastery of intricacies of interactions and dynamics in Agile teams. Assure consistent, effective rhythms for agile & lean start-up rituals and artifacts

+ Use disciplined approaches to monitor team progress via effective information dashboards for program velocity, burn-up, defect tracking, quality and compliance

+ Be an expert in proactively using data, practical knowledge and innovative insights to drive timely decisions, determine appropriate courses of action, forecast future needs while managing risk and uncertainty for the team

+ Beyond drive day-to-day operational tempos and rigor, has responsibility to coordinate activities for strategic business rhythms

+ Work with Executive Director to establish vision and drive operational strategy for the organization for technology, quality, and organization & resources

+ Create a culture of customer focus and high performance to drive innovation through continuous customer engagement to facilitate program definition

+ Demonstrate strategic level skills in collaborating with different stakeholders, Influencing decisions and ability to take strategic view

+ Leverage overall portfolio & product strategy to create detailed product plan tailored for balancing internal productivity & customer facing solutions

+ Work with all areas of the product management & software development lifecycle to deliver differentiated products. Work to define and develop business plans, financial projections & product positioning

+ Work cross-functionally across engineering, marketing, sales, internal & external customers, analysts and senior management teams to formulate and execute the product strategy

+ Responsible for implementing full product development lifecycle process, including facilitating business planning, strategic partnerships, collateral, and strategic prospects

+ Establish and manage relationship across GE businesses & sub-businesses, partners and customers and technical expert levels across industries and geographies

+ Establish strong working relationship with account managers, technical sales & user/developer community

+ Deliver business & technical sales collateral (eg value proposition, how to sell, RoI analysis, competitive analysis, data sheet, product overview, FAQ, recorded demos, webinars)

+ Responsible for developing go-to-market plans for GE Software solutions

+ Responsible for defining and managing requirements and roadmap for a portfolio of products, and be the product expert

Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree

+ A Minimum of 4 years of technical experience

+ A minimum of 5 years of product management experience

+ A minimum of 8 years of software industry experience minimum with proven track record

+ Accountable for policy decisions with incomplete, conflicting information and uncertain long-term dynamics

+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills

+ About 20-30% of the time to travel within US
